Only residents of the Commonwealth may request to inspect public records. Effective June 29, 2021, a person submitting a request to inspect public records must include with the request a statement that the person making the request is a resident of the Commonwealth. Requests to inspect records that do not include such a statement may be denied. See KRS 61.872(2).

Our office will respond to a request to inspect records within five business days.  

 

Requests shall be:

1. Hand delivered;

2. Mailed;

3. Sent via fax; or 

4. Sent via e-mail to the designated e-mail address (linked below).
